Frequently Asked Questions
What is the K visa?
K visa (launched September 2025) is for STEM graduates aged 18-40 from top-ranked universities. No employer needed, multi-entry, allows work, research, and business.
K visa vs Z visa?
Z visa requires an employer and ties you to one company. K visa is more flexible but only for STEM, with age and university requirements.
What if I don’t have 2 years work experience?
Some cities waive the 2-year requirement for fresh master/PhD graduates, or for jobs in FTZ or innovation zones.
Can I bring my family?
Yes, on S1 (long-term) or S2 (short-term) family visas. S1 requires your residence permit to have 180+ days validity.
How long does the process take?
Employment: 4-8 weeks. K visa: 2-4 weeks. Startup: 8-12 weeks. Research: 6-8 weeks.
What if my visa is about to expire?
Apply for a 30-day humanitarian visa extension at PSB Exit-Entry. Do not overstay.
